On June 18 2022, The Nanaimo Historical Society held a picnic and tour at Morden  Colliery Historical Provincial Park.

More than 35 guests were intrigued with Liam Hall’s descriptions of the complex task of restoring a monumental 100 year-old coal mine tipple at Morden.

Or, if you're interested in a self-guided historical interpretive trail walking tour of Morden, courtesy of Simon Priest, local resident/student of history, and Mike Laroque,  from The Friends of Morden Mine, you can find that here.

We acknowledge that we meet on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw people from whom Nanaimo takes its name.
